One of the new achievements of the Sustainable Caucasus project
In the frame of the Sustainable Caucasus project (http://caucasus-mt.net/),  an open source geospatial data sharing platform has been set up at http://sustainable-caucasus.grid.unep.ch using the Geonode (http://geonode.org) application. It aims at fostering a better geospatial data discovery, vizualisation, access and use in the Caucasus area for sustainable development. Each participating country has designated a focal point to help populating it with relevant geospatial data. To this end, some capacity building material has been developed and adapted with specific Caucasus examples. A dedicated tutorial and virtual machine containing related data, software and exercises are ready and available at ftp://orion.grid.unep.ch/GEOSS_services/geonode/Geonode_Caucasus . More information can be obtained at sustainable-caucasus@unepgrid.ch.
