9-12 June 2011, Suceava, Romania
Background
This workshop builds on the results of the SEEmore Conference in Timisoara (2010), where Climate Change and paleosciences have been identified as one of the priority topics to be promoted through the SEEmore network. The workshop was sponsored by the Past Global Changes (PAGES) Office and MRI.
Objectives
To bring together international as well as local researchers to discuss and promote opportunities for collaboration on topics such as glaciations, palaeolimnology, history vegetation, speleothemes, dendrochronology, geoarcheology, palaeorivers and paleosoils in the Carpathian-Balkan region, one of the least studied and promoted areas in Europe. Furthermore, this workshop aimed at an educational role, by providing scientific training for young researchers and students.
