Sustainable Development of Mountain Regions: Science and Practice

Background

This event informed 32 representatives from scientific and governmental institutions on current mountain research priorities and challenges in Europe (MRI and SEEmore) and Bulgaria. The participants welcomed the dialogue between science and governmental bodies and recommended to organize such meetings on a regular basis and to strengthen the dissemination of research results to the government and local authorities.

Objectives

• Inform about SEEmore at the national level and explore needs and opportunities.
