The MRI Europe list is a simple and transparent platform for GlobalChange scientists working in mountain regions. As a side product of thefirst MRI Europe Networking Meeting (Zurich, February 2007) it is inthe first instance a brokering tool for scientists interested ininternational and interdisciplinary research cooperation. The recentincrease of the European network to almost 1100 members is mainly dueto the growth of  "Science for the Carpathians" (S4C) in the Carpathian countries.

Inresponse to the request from the Balkan countries, the MRI willintensify its networking activities in Southeastern Europe in 2009.If you are involved in the development of an international researchproject and are still looking for specific expertise, please cast aneye on the list and feel free to contact potential partners!
