Background
The MRI Global Commission provides oversight of the Coordination Office activities, suggests new directions for MRI in the light on new opportunities, such as those to be discussed at the IGBP Congress, and carries MRI's agenda back into national and international research programs.
Objectives
• To determine what the community of global change in mountain researchers sees as critical next steps in its attempts to advance the science and promote understanding among policy makers, and
• To determine how the MRI Coordination Office can support those activities
